Nataša Novotná is a dancer, a choreographer, a lecturer, a co-founder of 420PEOPLE ensemble and a founder of Kylian Fund Prague. She’s getting involved in initiatives supporting Czech contemporary dance and is a member of board of directors in the Vision of Dance, the professional establishment. As a pedagogue, Nataša is working at dance conservatories, Prague Academy of Performing Arts and in Czech and foreign ensembles. She is also a lecturer in the dance Studio of the New Stage which offers contemporary and ballet classes. Since 2017 Nataša is teaching Gaga (motion language evolved by choreographer Ohad Naharin).
In 1997, she was employed in Nederlands Dans Teater 2 leaded by Jiří Kylián. In 2000-2002, Nataša was dancing in Swedish Göteborgs Operan Ballet and from 2002, she was also a member of the main ensemble Nederlands Dans Teater. Nataša was collaborating with prominent world choreographers, for instance J. Kylián, O. Naharin, W. Forsythe, M. Eke, Crystal Pite, Meryl Tancard and others. She’s been working freelance since 2007 and is dedicated to contemporary dance.
